You may not realize this but the idea of personal wealth is a rather new concept. In fact the idea of an individual having independence is a new idea altogether. Our recorded history spans around 5000 years and I can assure you, the idea of an individual having personal power and personal wealth is not more than five hundred years old. It began during the time of the Renaissance in Europe.

The first ever individuals to put their names to a work of art were Leonardo da Vinci and Michael Angelo. They were so outstanding and so recognized as individuals they were given permission by their world to sign their work with their own name. They were the first!

Prior to this time the name of the artist was irrelevant since all works of art were paid for by the church and dedicated to religious purposes. You have no idea who was responsible for the giant statues of Buddha in Cambodia or the architecture of the ancient churches and temples in Europe...

Until the European Renaissance of only five hundred years ago there was no place for individual consciousness. The greatest of life's gift, the right to be an individual did not exist. It is always helpful to put our life's experiences in an historical context in order to release the pressure we feel from our peers to succeed on their terms.

Throughout history there's a constant thread that you may not realize... You perhaps assume "royalty" insinuates wealth... but royal wealth was never defined as money, because money did not exist until the last five hundred years. And, let's be honest, there was no need for much cash until the abolition of slavery in 1833. The job of a king was to expand his territory by all means possible... when he went into debt, (which they frequently did) they were ultimately not held responsible... they would make their people pay by raising taxes. This was acceptable because the people felt group conscious and powerless to make a difference, they believed they would always be powerless and poor. Now we live in a completely different reality. The individual is king or queen! His or her home is their castle. They have the right to come and go as they please. This makes them more powerful than a king or queen or emperor or empress from any time in history... because this is true wealth... FREEDOM TO CHOOSE! There was a time where individuals had no freedom to choose anything in their life, not even a king or a queen. Now we have all the freedom in the world to the point where on our bad days we feel abandoned and unloved because there is no one telling us what to do. Royalty were almost cash poor and land rich... their intention was not to gain more cash but increase their lands and therefore their sphere of influence. In this life right now, as a new kind of Royalty make your influence a positive one! That is your ultimate power and truest wealth.

Use it wisely and with appreciation for all those who made it possible for you to be here now, with the right to choose!
